#GivingTuesday: Paying It Forward with #GiveForward

What does it really mean to give?

Often times we give gifts and favors with the expectation to receive gifts and favors in return. But is that truly giving? Truly giving from the heart is giving without any expectations or reciprocation in any form. (i.e. no strings attached!)

What if I have nothing to give?

Thats not true! You do have something to give: love and support! You can reach out with your words, actions, love and support. It means just as much, because, honestly, the most important thing that you can do is to be a person of action rather than a bystander who doesnt do anything and assumes someone else will. Be that person who reaches out and makes a difference!

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.
Mahatma Gandhi

How many of you know that the Tuesday after Thanksgiving is called Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday, in my opinion, is not just a day of giving, but also a lesson that reminds me to be a person of action on a daily basis, because honestly, I believe every day holds the ripe opportunity to be a person of action and courage. Whether your actions are big or small they make a difference.

Everything we do, even the slightest thing we do, can have a ripple effect and repercussions that emanate. If you throw a pebble into the water on one side of the ocean, it can create a tidal wave on the other side. ― Victor Webster

Who is GiveFoward, you might ask? GiveFoward is one of the top online fundraising platform catered to those in need of medical care.

When giving I feel it is best to give directly because the receiver knows what they need better than I do. Not only that, but I trust theyll benefit from (and actually receive) what I give. I trust GiveForward because out of 4 other online fundraising platforms, GiveForwards fee is only 0.5%! That means 99.5% of donations go to the people in need!

If you are wondering where to start, Id like you to check out the Shahs Family whose son, Andrew, is facing cancer at a young age. Their insurance refused to pay for several treatments (totaling $21,000) after Andrew had already received them from his doctor. We cant take away the cancer, but we can remove the added strain of this bill.
